Simran Wahan is an Indian visual artist, illustrator & art entrepreneur, born and raised in Coimbatore and now based in Bangalore.Her colourful artworks are is inspired by nature, tradition,human behaviour, social and spiritual observations. Her interest in art goes back to as early as a 5-year old trying to experiment with colors and textures to form random patterns. She owns a successful curated handicraft gift store called The Amaya Store in Coimbatore, which has just completed 10 years in business. She has experience in creating large scale abstract murals using clay, spray paint and acrylics. In addition, she also teaches art to children and adults in several different cities throughout India

I have a growing number of senior participants joining me on Instagram. I often extend random invitations for them to join my interactive video sessions, where we engage in discussions about their feelings and enjoy coloring together. My audience is quite diverse, including corporate clients, medical professionals, students, grandparents, and expectant mothers. When it comes to my older students, I've observed that they eagerly embrace the opportunity to learn something new, especially alongside their younger counterparts. They relish sharing their wisdom during group classes, where conversations naturally evolve beyond art, allowing life's challenges and experiences to take center stage.

What helps you get up everyday?
All the most powerful emotions come from chaos - fear. anger, love — especially love. Love is chaos itself. Think about it! Love makes no sense It shakes you up and spins you around. And then, eventually, it falls apart. I'm in love with the chaos everyday, in love with me. Every morning I jump out of bed and Step on a landmine. The landmine is me. After the explosion, I spend the rest of the day putting my pieces together with art & with all the chaos around me.
